The slipways titanic belfast1/2/2023 As well as the tourism aspect, the Titanic museum and the guided tours on which Titanic Belfast has to offer are very educational and appeal to schools, students carrying out university research and the wider public in general who all want to learn about Belfast's heritage and how this has redefined the present.Īccording to Alexander, the success of Titanic Belfast is an example of the power and value of culture and culture development. I was able to immerse myself in the construction of Titanic through taking a seat on the shipyard ride where I experienced the busy shipyard sights, smells and sounds (photograph 2). It was pointed out that the building's design is intended to reflect Belfast's history of shipmaking and the industrial legacy bequeathed by Harland & Wolff. At this point of the tour, the tour guide makes special reference to the architectural wonder of Titanic Belfast.
